Candidate must have knowledge industrial engineering disciplines, including lean principles, to support continuous improvement in the utilization of methods, manpower, material, and machinery to meet Clients performance targets.

• Must have Engineering Industrial Degree and hands-on area training
• Prior on-the-job related experience 1 year
• Understand customer (internal and external) requirements and how this job can contribute to meeting the requirements
• Be familiar with Environmental Policy and Significant Aspects client site.
• Be familiar with EMS requirements pertaining to this job.
• Become aware of how this job affects EMS objectives and targets client site.
• Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities
• Exposure to and/or experience with Toyota Production System and Lean Manufacturing principles
• Understanding of advanced quality planning tools and methodology, including flow charts, control plans, FMEA’s, and process control instructions
• Basic understanding of SPC and process capability studies, and gauging requirements
• Familiar with automotive trim designs, processes and applications
• Be familiar with IATF /EMS requirements pertaining to job
• Become aware of how this job affects quality, cost, and delivery objectives within client site.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual English/Spanish.

Salary DOE, must be able to work a flexible schedule, must be Bilingual English/Spanish.

1. Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum utilization and efficiency
2. Estimate production cost and effect of product/process design changes for management review, action, and control
3. Formulate sampling procedures and design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting key quality, cost, and delivery performance data
4. Study operations sequence, material flow, functional responsibilities, organization charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities
5. Develop manufacturing methods, instructions and aids, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient labor and facility utilization
6. Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and facilities
7. Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate, assemble, package, and store parts to promote efficient utilization of resources
8. Study and analysis to identify non-value added activities and development of methods to eliminate waste
9. Participate in quoting, feasibility study, and development of new processes and products
10. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformances
11. Verify the implementation of solutions
12. Adhere to all required safety guidelines and report hazards or violations
13. Miscellaneous duties as required by manager
14. Ensure that all accidents and injuries are promptly reported.
